CFG Board

The Cooroy Future Group is a volunteer executive made up of the following people:

 

Kym Neaylon, President

Kym is a Chartered Engineer with over 40 years’ experience.  He now works part-time from his home office presenting online short courses and instructing post-graduate engineers. He chose to reside in Cooroy in early 2020 for its lifestyle and strong community feel. He also enjoys visual arts and has a desire to contribute in a meaningful way to his new community.

Moira Pearl, Secretary

Moira brings experience from a diverse administration background, working with boards and in management, communication, marketing and events. Residing in Tewantin, she has been involved in community work formerly in Brisbane and in the Noosa area for the past 3 years and looks forward to supporting the events and ventures of the Cooroy Future Group.

John Hartley, Treasurer

John has lived in the Cooroy Noosa area since 1999 and has a background of over 40 years in radio and television.
He believes the Cooroy Future Group provides an important role in the nurturing and development of artistic expression in Cooroy through its resources within the Cooroy Butter Factory Arts Precinct.
The CFG has progressed many successful events including the Noosa Trail Walk, the Fusion Festival as well as many outstanding exhibitions that have all contributed to the amenity of the town’s cultural life. John has been the President of the Cooroy- Noosa Genealogy & Local History Group and a member of the Cooroy Rag management committee.
He now takes on the role of Treasurer of the CFG and looks forward to being an active member of this dynamic organisation

Carol Watkins

Past President Carol has lived in Cooroy since 2005. She has owned her own very successful business and has a background in Human Resources and Marketing management, has held senior leadership roles with the local State Emergency Service and as an exhibiting ceramics artist is passionate about arts and community.

Daniel Washusen

Residing in the Noosa Shire since 2004, Daniel has become a familiar face in the local area through his work, recreation and volunteer involvement. With a background of thirteen years in hotels and more recently property management Daniel looks forward to assisting with organised events through the Cooroy Future Group. Being a family man he is excited to be part of a great team that benefits the community.
