Tex Pipke retired from the Cooroy Future Group Inc (CFG) Board in January 2020. He was one of the founding members of the Cooroy Lower Mill Board Inc, the pre-cursor to Cooroy Future Group Inc. From the start, Tex was passionate about the redevelopment of the Lower Mill Site after the mill closed. He was a Cooroy businessman for over 20 years, served 4 years as President of CFG and was a large part of the new direction of the Cooroy Butter Factory Arts Centre, participating in Noosa Council’s meeting with the community about its future use, and then worked with Council to program the direction of the Arts Centre over the subsequent 4 years. His knowledge, experience and input will be missed. As current President, Carol Watkins, said when Tex announced his retirement: “You’re a hard act to follow, Tex”.
